I bought this saw in October 2009 for under $ 45. I have only been used for pruning large branches that fell after a storm, and trim the bottom of my Christmas tree, but he did a good job with both. A branch that fell about 10 "in diameter. It took some work, but my knife was in ninth place weight looked good, not too heavy, not too clear, and it is easy for a woman to handle. I have no desire see, I'm one of several projects around the yard / house and sat Bill!

Value in a reciprocating saw

This Amazon price for this very adequate saw is terrific! If you have need for a very high-end saw, then go ahead and burn some time researching and comparing Milwaukee, Porter Cable, Makita, Dewalt, etc. You can join the debate over which saw is best. But if your needs are less than commercial, I suggest: forget the research and the debate. Forget your perceived need for cordless. Here is a saw I have used 3 times(probably a couple of hrs total) since I bought it 5 or 6 wks ago. It performs very well, and it offers no inconvenience at all using with a cord. I own a number of higher end cordless tools, appreciate them, but I am so very pleased that I made such a great LOW COST choice for this saw that I expect will handle all the work I'll ever have for it.
