It’s a nice addition to the Barracuda chuck. It comes with two different height “pins” that you can screw in. My only complaint is that the rubber/plastic covering the pins is a bit hard and not very sticky. I was expecting something a bit softer with more grab. I’ve only used it a couple of times to try to fix up some out of round bowls and each time, I’ve had a catch and the bowl goes flying out… Guess I need to work on my technique.
I had always wanted to make some wooden bowls on my Jet Mini-lathe, so when these jaws arrived, I couldn’t wait! They worked so well that I am finishing the bowl bottoms like a Pro! Recent thunderstorms have provided a wealth of ‘good turning’ wood from local trees, so I expect to use these jaws quite a lot! The eight inch maximum opening works well with the ten inch limitation of my lathe.
WOW, This is so inexpensive and yet works as well as some I have that are much more expensive.
