I wanted a safety power switch for an older band saw. This one is perfect. Although it’s plastic, it appears industructable. You don’t have to fumble around to stop the machine. Just punch it with your fist, etc. The recessed Start button prevents accidental engagement. For non-safety applications, the large Stop paddle can be removed revealing a normal size Stop button.

You will love this switch. It was very easy to install on a extension that I built for my table saw that now is a router station. It works just as it should, there is nothing that I would change. I would buy another if the the need comes up.

I have this switch mounted on a custom router cabinet. The unit mounts easily with 2 screws or bolts and features a very heavy power cord. The only piece that isn’t particularly sturdy is the the big “STOP” flap, which can easily be removed to reveal a standard red stop button. The action on the buttons is actually smoother than the similar unit on my Jet tablesaw.
